5. How We Disclose Your Information
We do not sell your personal information in exchange for money, and we do not rent or lease it to third parties. However, our use of advertising technology (see Section 6) may be considered "sharing" for targeted advertising, or a "sale," under some laws, and we explain your choices below. We disclose information to:
-
Shopify and other service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as IT management, payment processing, data analytics, customer support, cloud storage, fulfilment, and shipping
-
Printify and its network of print providers, our print-on-demand platform and manufacturing partners, who receive order details, names, and delivery addresses solely to print, pack, and deliver your purchases. These providers may be located in the United States or other countries.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate and improve the Site, remember your preferences, analyze how the Site is used, and measure advertising performance. Cookies that are strictly necessary for the Site to work do not require consent. For all other cookies, including advertising and analytics cookies, we ask for your consent through our cookie banner where required by law. You can change your cookie choices at any time through the cookie preferences link in the policies section of our store or whenever the cookie banner is displayed, and you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and targeted advertising through our data sharing opt-out page here.
Meta Pixel. We use the Meta Pixel on our Site to understand how visitors interact with our store, including viewing products, adding items to their cart, and completing purchases. This technology may collect and transmit information to Meta Platforms, including IP addresses, browser and device information, and hashed contact details (such as email addresses and phone numbers, where available and applicable). We use this data to measure the effectiveness of our advertising, improve ad delivery, and create custom audiences for advertising on Facebook and Instagram. For more information about how Meta processes personal information, please refer to Meta's Privacy Policy.
Where required by applicable law, we obtain your consent before activating non-essential advertising tracking. You can manage or withdraw your cookie consent at any time using the Cookie Preferences link on our website. You can also remove or reject cookies through your browser settings, but this may limit some features of the Site. Details of the cookies used by our platform are available at shopify.com/legal/cookies
Global Privacy Control. Where applicable law requires it, we treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and targeted advertising for that browser, through our store's privacy settings. We do not respond to other "Do Not Track" signals.
7. Relationship with Shopify
Our Site is hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your use of the Site in order to provide and improve the Services. Information you submit is transmitted to and shared with Shopify and its providers, who may be located in countries other than where you live. We also use certain Shopify enhanced features that draw on data from your interactions with our store and with other merchants and Shopify. For those purposes, Shopify is responsible for the processing of your personal information, including responding to your rights requests. To learn more, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and the Shopify Privacy Portal at https://privacy.shopify.com/en.
8. International Data Transfers
We are based in the United Kingdom, and our service providers and fulfilment partners are located in the United States and elsewhere. Where your personal information is transferred outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK-US Data Bridge (for certified recipients) or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, as applicable. Contact us at support@novelminded.com for more information about these safeguards.
9. Third-Party Websites and Links
Our Site may link to websites or platforms operated by third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for their privacy practices, security, or content, so please review their policies. Information you post on public or social platforms may be visible to others and used by third parties without limitation. A link does not imply our endorsement.
10. Children's Data
The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority in their jurisdiction (and in any case under 16). If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us their information, contact us at support@novelminded.com and we will delete it. We have no actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
11. Security and Retention
We use reasonable measures to protect your personal information, but no system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Information you send us may not be secure in transit, so please avoid sending sensitive financial or personal information through insecure channels.
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, including to maintain your account, provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. For example, order and transaction records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting law (generally six years in the UK). Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
12. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live (including the UK, EU, and various US states), you may have the right to:
-
Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
-
Correct: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
-
Delete: request deletion of your personal information
-
Portability: receive your information in a portable format and request that it be transferred to a third party
-
Restrict processing: ask us to stop or limit how we process your information
-
Object: object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time
-
Withdraw consent: where we rely on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier processing
-
Opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising: opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information, or its use for targeted advertising, through our cookie settings, opt-out link, or by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser
-

-
Manage communications: unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time using the link in our emails. We may still send non-promotional messages about your account or orders.
These rights are not absolute and may be limited by law. To exercise them, email support@novelminded.com. We may need to verify your identity first. You may use an authorized agent, who must provide proof of your authorization. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law (in the UK, generally one month).
13. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first at support@novelminded.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or to your local data protection authority if you live elsewhere.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised policy on the Site, update the "Last updated" date, and provide notice where required by law.
